The government will introduce a wide-ranging environment bill to address issues including air pollution, Theresa May announced yesterday.

Addressing MPs at a session of the Liaison Select Committee, May said the new bill would build on the government’s pledge to leave the environment in a better state than it had found it, as part of the 25 Year Environment Plan.
