The Bar Council has criticised the government’s proposals for a post-Brexit environmental watchdog, claiming it would lack the power to take the government to court for breaches of environmental law.

The criticism follows the submission of the Bar Council’s response to DEFRA’s consultation on environmental principles and governance (EP&G) after EU exit.
