Environment Agency relaxes rules on small-scale land remediation

Businesses carrying out pilot trials and small-scale remediation schemes for land contamination activities that involve the treatment of waste for recovery may no longer require an environmental permit, the Environment Agency (EA) has announced

Firms must be able to provide evidence that mitigation measures were in place if problems occur during remediation work
