The Environment Agency (EA) has published the details of its plans to regulate most medium combustion plants through a simple set of ‘standard rules’ rather than via a more complex system of bespoke permits.

The nine rules, covering typical applications such as landfill gas engines, diesel-fuelled generators and gas boilers, were published by the regulator on Thursday.
