Proposals to deregulate certain activities that could present a flood risk have been given the go-ahead by DEFRA and the Welsh government.

The two consulted on amendments to the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 in the spring, planning to make the law clearer, more flexible and less bureaucratic.
