Environment secretary Michael Gove has made a series of new appointments to regional boards and authorities responsible for natural conservation

Environment secretary Michael Gove has made a series of new appointments to regional boards and authorities responsible for natural conservation.

He has appointed four new members to the boards of the National Park Authorities for the North York Moors, the Peak District, the South Downs and the Yorkshire Dales, and one new member to the Broads Authority, on four-year terms. The authorities have the role of ensuring each national park is furthering its statutory purpose.
