Scotland’s nature regulator has announced an £8m tranche of funding to drive urban greening improvements in the most disadvantaged areas in Scotland.

As part of its £40m Green Infrastructure Fund, Scotland Natural Heritage announced bids from up to 10 major projects to improve the urban environment in Scotland’s towns and cities.

The aim of the project is to see at least 140 hectares of urban green infrastructure created by its close.
