Welsh government puts up £3m more for Brexit preparation

Five more projects have received funding from the Welsh government to support the nation as the UK leaves the European Union.

Five more projects have received funding from the Welsh government to support the nation as the UK leaves the European Union.

Cabinet secretary for energy, planning and rural affairs Lesley Griffiths announced a further package of £3.2m yesterday, bringing the portfolio of Brexit-related support projects to £6m.

Natural Resources Wales will receive £700,000 to assist with the provision of transitional permitting arrangements. A further £550,000 will help meet the EU’s stringent rules on wood packaging materials entering the EU from third countries.
