Major data centre firm Telehouse is seeking an environmental permit for its backup generators, which have been in place unlawfully at its Docklands site in London for years.

Its application to the Environment Agency is the second such request ENDS is aware of, after the Environment Agency granted US firm Digital Realty a retrospective permit for its installation in Surrey in March.
