DEFRA has launched a consultation on a suite of draft action plans aimed at tackling noise hotspots.

Action plans are designed to manage environmental noise and its effects, including noise reduction and preservation of quiet areas, under the Environmental Noise Directive (END). The department  is consulting on three plans covering roads, railways and agglomerations.
