Deal struck over ‘revolutionary’ soil satellite mapping technology

UK surveying company Central Alliance (an RSK company) has struck a partnership with a US software firm to bring “a revolutionary new method of mapping soil properties from space”.

The software, developed by Utilis Corporation, highlights issues across areas of land and can spot areas that could be prone to structure failures. Central Alliance combines geology, hydrogeology, hydrology, drainage, utility mapping and examination reports to provide a risk map for critical infrastructure.
