Climate change and geological changes put London at risk of major flooding, a new Christian Aid report states.

Southern England has been sinking since the end of the last ice age, but rising sea levels have accelerated the change.

Other cities threatened with flooding include Bangkok, Shanghai and Houston, thanks to a combination of extreme weather events, extracting groundwater and sea level change.

Kat Kramer, Christian Aid's global climate lead who wrote the report, said: "We're starting to see what happens when climate change acts as a threat multiplier, compounding poor development decisions.
