A Holyrood committee has criticised budget cuts

Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH) has had its budget cut by 40% over the last eight years, according to a Holyrood committee.

In a letter to the Scottish government dated 10 October, the Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform Committee raised concerns over the decline in the agency’s budget, linking it to the fact that “significant national indicators relating to Scotland’s environmental performance are either flat-lining or declining”.
