Moriarty told the Public Accounts Committee that DEFRA is monitoring its 55 Brexit-related projects “very carefully”, but that it will not know “until we get to certain stages whether there will be hidden issues”. The National Audit Office recently published a report saying that DEFRA still had a number of “major hurdles” to clear before it is ready for Brexit.
