A leading climate change scientist has deemed the government’s request for advice on reaching net-zero emissions ‘fraudulent’.

Clean growth minister Claire Perry has formally requested the government’s advisers on climate change provide her with advice on reducing the UK’s greenhouse gas emission reductions to net-zero by 2050.
