EU governments should pass proposed laws to require electronics manufacturers to make their products more durable and more easily repairable, a coalition of environmental groups has urged.
The European Environmental Bureau, which represents 140 organisations across Europe, has highlighted that electronic waste constitutes the fastest growing source of waste worldwide, leaching toxic chemicals into the environment and ending up inside recycled plastics.
