Ofgem to consider action against late payers of RO

Energy regulation Ofgem has written to energy suppliers to demand full payment of Renewable Obligation Certificate (ROC) by 31 October, after an “unprecedented” number missed the deadline.

The renewables obligation requires electricity suppliers to source a proportion of the electricity they supply to UK customers from renewable sources. ROCs are issued to operators of accredited renewable generating stations for the eligible renewable electricity they generate.
