Cuadrilla has resumed fracking after a tremor at its Preston New Road fracking site in Lancashire temporarily halted operations yesterday.

The seismic activity registered 0.4 on the local magnitude (ML) scale three kilometres below the surface at 3.45pm while Cuadrilla was fracking, according to its public portal. Detection of the tremor led the firm to cease operations earlier than planned, at around 3.50pm, a spokeswoman for the firm told ENDS.
