Chemicals regulations data and waste shipment approvals flagged as key concerns by Lords committee

The chair of a House of Lords committee has written to environment secretary Michael Gove asking for further details on DEFRA’s handling of key elements of waste shipments and chemicals regulation in preparation for Brexit.

Lord Teverson, chair of the EU energy and environment sub-committee, wrote that the committee agreed with the recent National Audit Office report that there would be significant impacts on certain sectors if no deal was agreed between the UK and EU.
