Risks to business operations from flood or drought can damage a company’s credit ratings, according to ratings firm S&P Global.

The firm analysed 9,000 corporate research updates from July 20015 to August 2017. Of these, environmental and climate issues were relevant in 717 cases, with water specifically factoring in 197 ratings.
