A strategy document for DEFRA and the bodies that report into the department cites “impatience with bureaucracy” and “challenging the status quo” among its guiding principles.

The strategy, published on Friday, sets out a “shared vision, objectives and goals for the whole of the DEFRA group”, including non-ministerial departments, executive agencies, non-departmental and other public bodies.
