Farmers around two river catchments in Somerset have been awarded money for works to mitigate flooding following a trial of an online auction system.  

The auction system - dubbed NaturEtrade NFM – enables farmers in the River Tone and River Parrett catchments to bid for money from the Somerset Rivers Authority (SRA). The best, most competitively priced ideas would then be funded.
