A pair of beavers will be flown into North Essex as part of a new natural flood management scheme for East Anglia

A pair of beavers will be flown into North Essex as part of a new natural flood management scheme for East Anglia.

The Environment Agency (EA) believes the two Eurasian Beavers will improve biodiversity and help reduce local flood risk as part of a new approach to flood prevention at the historic Spains Hall Estate, upstream of the village Finchingfield.

The beavers will be released in 2019 in a territory covering four hectares.
