DEFRA plans to lift WEEE reuse restrictions

DEFRA is consulting on making changes to regulations covering waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) to stop restrictions on the resale and repair of old equipment.

Published yesterday, DEFRA says the consultation will correct some unintended consequences of changes to EU laws in August, which widened the definition of electrical and electronic equipment products.
