Curlews could be extinct in Wales within 15 years unless “urgent action is taken”, according to Natural Resources Wales (NRW).

The curlew, which nests in upland and lowland grasslands, declined 63% between 1995 and 2016 and NRW fears there could be fewer than 400 breeding pairs left in the country.
