A ‘feebate’ system or materials levy would be  best way to increase the use of post-consumer recycled materials (PCR) in the UK, according to a report from consultants Eunomia.

Commissioned by the Resource Association and WWF UK and presented at a parliamentary reception in the House of Commons this week, the report recommends that the government include a levy system in the UK’s upcoming resources and waste action strategy rather than the  proposed tax on plastics made up of less than 30% recycled material.
