The packaging recycling industry has hit out at the Environment Agency (EA) for making just one company pay a financial contribution for a packaging regulation breach between June and October 2018.

This is despite there being “hundreds, potentially thousands” of companies breaching the Producer Responsibility Obligations (Packaging Waste) Regulations 2007, according to Robbie Staniforth, chair of the Packaging Scheme Forum (PSF), a consortium of environmental and packaging producer compliance schemes.
