The Environment Agency (EA) has imposed new controls on drilling company Angus Energy, which could delay the firm’s plans to extract oil in Brockham, Surrey.

The agency published the firm’s environmental permit, this week which requires Angus energy to supply it with more information on the management of any gas before production or any appraisal can begin at the site.
