A judge has dismissed a legal challenge against a government decision that a proposal for 150 homes in West Yorkshire did not need to undergo environmental impact assessment (EIA).

The case, brought by a local resident who has been fighting against plans for 150-homes in Hemsworth, West Yorkshire, has been rejected by a High Court judge, who deemed his reading of the government’s assessments of the plans as “unduly forensic and nit-picking”.
