Four farmers have now been conned in the ongoing scam, which has swept through Linconlshire over the past few weeks.

The Environment Agency (EA) first issued a warning to landowners on 5 April after two farmers in the Grantham area were approached by criminals posing as legitimate waste carriers and offering them tarmac road planings, which are used to repair roads and farmyards.
