Welsh landowners warned to be vigilant of dumping

Natural Resources Wales has urged landowners and farmers to report anyone asking them to store waste on their land to avoid being scammed

There have been 12 separate dumping incidents in Wales since June 2016. Photograph: Right Waste, right PlaceNatural Resources Wales (NRW) is warning farmers and landowners to be aware of requests to store baled waste on their land following a spate of illegal dumping.

In a statement on 8 June, the regulator said there have been 12 separate incidents since June 2016, in which farmers across Wales have accepted waste for temporary storage, only for it to be abandoned on their land.
