Waste firm prosecuted after streams run red with blood

A County Durham farming waste firm and its director have been fined for flouting their environmental permits, which resulted in the pollution of several local watercourses

AWSM Recycling Ltd, based at Lane Head Farm near Darlington, and its director Adam Metcalfe were sentenced at Teesside Crown Court on 19 June.
