Energy sector highlights ‘political risk’ to low-carbon transition

Energy security and decarbonisation are still under threat from policy uncertainty, say energy professionals

Most respondents to the Energy Institute’s 2017 energy barometer, published on 26 June, believe that fixing inadequate energy policy is by far the greatest challenge to the sector. This is followed by the need for a low-carbon energy transition, energy security, energy investment and costs.
