Artificial intelligence and robotics technology fund launched

Artificial intelligence and robotics technologies that can investigate extreme environments to identify offshore energy, nuclear energy, space and deep mining opportunities are being sought by Innovate UK.

It has set aside a £6m fund to stimulate the development of robotics and artificial intelligence demonstrators for “extreme and challenging environments” and will award grants from £50,000 to £500,000 per project.
