Minerals industry moves to rein in water use

The minerals industry is beginning to try to comprehend the amount of water it uses and where it comes from, according to its water resource strategy

The minerals sector has taken its first step to quantify the amount of water it uses.

The industry wants to cut back on consumption, but according to the water strategy published by the Mineral Products Association (MPA) on 28 June, it does not know how much water it is using or  from where most of it comes.
