Commons select committee chairs elected

Five heads of key House of Commons select committees which scrutinise environment, energy and business have been elected in Westminster

The secret ballot of MPs took place on 12 July and was counted using the alternative vote system.

Three MPs have been re-elected as chairs of their respective committees while two MPs have been elected chairs for the first time.
