Prepare early for ESOS phase two, says Environment Agency

Photograph: Auremar / 123RFBusinesses in the second phase of the Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) should start to plan for compliance now to avoid problems later, the Environment Agency has told ENDS.

The second phase of ESOS started on 6 December 2015, with the qualification date for participants of 31 December 2018 still some 18 months away. But the agency points out that “organisations can already start work on their energy audits and identifying energy saving opportunities now, and particularly if they know they will qualify”.
