Faulty installations to blame for rise in solar PV fires

Fires caused by solar panels are chiefly the result of bad fittings, a government-commissioned report has concluded

The Building Research Establishment (BRE), in conjunction with BEIS, published its findings on 17 July which looked at all solar PV fire-related incidents between 2009 and 2016.
