Nuclear decommissioning costs increase £3.4bn

The Nuclear Decommissioning Authority has increased its cost estimates up to £164bn but other scenarios see this figure in excess of £220bn

The NDA’s provision forecast, published on 19 July, increased from £160.6bn to £164bn, largely due to added costs at the Sellafield nuclear complex. 1
