Environment Agency accelerated staff cuts in 2016/17

This year’s EA corporate report reveals the agency ramped up cuts to permanent staff last year while doubling the employment of temporary staff

According to the agency’s annual corporate report published on 19 July, it jettisoned 150 employees through redundancy and voluntary early release schemes (VES) in 2016/17.
