£2m EA investigation brings ‘amateur’ waste firm to justice

A Bristol waste firm has been fined £22,450 following a five-year investigation costing the EA more than £2m, while waste firm directors avoid jail and fines

Churngold Recycling Ltd of the Churngold Group and two of its directors, John Barcham and Lee Phelan, were sentenced in Bristol Crown Court court on 3 October for extensive waste violations.
