The International Energy Agency (IEA) has boosted its global outlook for renewable energy generation with electricity capacity predicted to expand by 43%, or 920 gigawatts, within the next five years.
Contained within its 2017-22 electricity forecast report, published on 4 October, the IEA has revised worldwide net renewables growth capacity significantly with a 12% increase on last year.
