CGS: Government commits to publishing resources and waste strategy

The Clean Growth Strategy offers little detail or binding targets on waste policy but the government's commitment to publishing a resources and waste strategy has been welcomed

Photograph: Paul Smith/123RFThe waste sector has cautiously welcomed the government’s Clean Growth Strategy, which includes a pledge to publish a resources and waste strategy but is otherwise very thin on detail.

In the plan, which was published on 12 October, the government commits to publishing a resources and waste strategy to “make the UK a world leader in terms of competitiveness, resource productivity and resource efficiency”.
