Commission identifies flaws in environmental infrastructure

Cross-sectoral weaknesses in energy efficiency, power, heat, water resources, transport and imminent funding gap must be shored up, the National Infrastructure Commission has said

Its interim national infrastructure assessment was published for consultation on 13 October.

Four of its seven priorities include ending carbon emissions from power, heat and waste, seizing the opportunities of electric and autonomous vehicles, resilience to drought and flooding and re-focussing the UK’s financial relationship between public and private investment.
