Environment Agency approves fracking plan

The Environment Agency has approved Third Energy’s hydraulic fracture plan for a controversial North Yorkshire well site

Third Energy’s hydraulic fracture plan for a well site in North Yorkshire has been approved by the Environment Agency (EA).

Frack plans are required before a company can start fracking and must meet the conditions of a company’s environmental permit to protect groundwater, surface water and air quality and to ensure the safe storage, management and disposal of waste.
