New powerhouse lobby group for renewables formed

A coalition of renewable trade bodies, chaired by ex-energy minister Charles Hendry, has been launched to help steer government on smart power future

The Smart Power Industrial Alliance (SPIA) formally launched on 23 October to politicians, policy-makers, regulators and industry groups. It is calling for a level playing field for central and decentralised energy systems alike.
