Wildlife campaigners call for overhaul of marine planning

Marine planning should focus on regional areas and take a more holistic approach with all industries considered together, according to the Wildlife Trusts

The current system, which is under the remit of the Marine Management Organisation (MMO), divides inshore and offshore parts of the same area of the sea, according to Lissa Batey, marine policy officer at the Wildlife Trusts.
