NRW appoints new chief exec as departing Emyr Roberts criticises budget cuts

NRW has appointed a new chief executive who will have a tough assignment on her hands with the organisation facing a 29% cut in its overall budget by 2019-20

Photograph: NRWNatural Resources Wales (NRW) has appointed Clare Pillman as its new chief executive just days after its founding CEO Emyr Roberts stepped down from the role.

Currently director for culture, tourism and sport at the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport in Westminster, Pillman is expected to take up the post in late February 2018. Meanwhile Kevin Ingram is NRW’s acting chief executive.
