Nottingham man arrested in connection with major waste blaze

The EA says it is determined to bring to justice the culprits responsible for an illegal waste site that led to two-week blaze last year

The fire at Oakfield Farm in Forest Lane, Walesby, in north Nottinghamshire burned for over two weeks last September.

Illegally dumped waste was found on the site and according to the Environment Agency (EA), no permit existed for waste to be stored on the farm.
