NRW to assess radioactive waste plans for proposed Anglesey plant

The public is being asked to comment on Horizon’s plans to safely manage radioactive waste at its proposed new nuclear power plant in Anglesey

The Welsh environmental regulator launched the consultation on 6 November. 

Horizon Nuclear Power, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Japanese conglomerate Hitachi, expects to see the 2.7 gigawatt power plant in operation by the mid-2020s.
